Building Bridges – Interfaith Dialogue in Melbourne Schools

Contact, Regions, How to Join, Facilitators

Building Bridges through interfaith sharing provides an opportunity for young people to share their experiences of faith or life-values with each other. It is an initiative of The WellSpring Centre, a spirituality centre based in Ashburton, Melbourne, Australia.

Aims & Objectives

The Building Bridges through Interfaith Dialogue project aims to assist secondary students of different faiths, religions, cultures and values in Years 10 and 11 to build bridges of trust and friendship. They learn key skills of dialogue and share personal experiences of their lives which have shaped them. These serve as foundations to negotiate, respect and engage with each other’s differences and commonalities and are important qualities for leaders of our country into the future.

Special thank you to everyone who attended the 2013 Building Bridges Presentation Evening at Strathcona. It was a great way to celebrate 10 years of interfaith dialogue in Melbourne with a wonderful program that has now graduated about 1800 Year 10 or 11 students.
